GRANT AWARDED - The Lakeland Trust of Natural Sciences

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £1000 to The Lakeland Trust of Natural Sciences - Lakeland Wildlife Oasis for a 6m x 8m marquee which they will use as an outside classroom. They are a small family run conservation zoo on the A6 at Hale, near Milnthorpe who are trying to make a difference though their animal breeding programs and more importantly though education.

They run holiday clubs where students can come and learn first hand about conservation and animal welfare, but as these have become more popular and the groups are getting bigger they no longer fitted in their small indoor classroom. They now have a lovely new big marquee with loads of space!
