What a wonderful organisation this is and what amazing work they do for a huge number and variety of community organisations. The grant application process was very straightforward to complete and the responses were very efficient and quick. Sue and Paul and their team are inspirational people.

3rc are an amazing supporter of Unique Kidz and Co. Their grants process is easy and accessible and have helped us provide multiple pieces of equipment for the young people with disabilities we support. The charity shop itself is modern bright and always has great stock! We are so grateful to be a cause supported by 3rc and thank you to all the staff, volunteers, customers and people who donate their items.
The Friends Of Lancaster Library (FOLL) charity are so glad we discovered the 3R Foundation and the practical support they offer to smaller charities like ours. The application process is not complex and the team are very friendly and supportive, FOLL were able to fund a much needed work laptop and phone through our 3R award.
I cannot thank 3R enough for supporting our charity and for all they do to support the local community, they work incredibly hard to offer a very unique excellent service to the local community - which also focuses on recycling unwanted goods through their bright, airy, well stocked charity shop in Carnforth and offers plenty of free parking!
The charity team have been brilliant, their communication is clear, their support is second to none, and everything they do is timely and well organised. They’re genuinely a pleasure to work with.
Their shop has such a lovely feel to it: bright, tidy, and really easy to get around, with the bonus of its own car park. The volunteers are wonderful too, welcoming, kind, and always happy to help.
If you haven’t popped in yet, you really should.
It’s a great place to visit and definitely worth a look around.
Lune Valley Swimming Pool in Hornby are incredibly grateful to the 3R Charity for their generous support. Their funding helped us replace vital equipment that failed unexpectedly, allowing us to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible.
Additionally, this is the third grant we have kindly received from them as they have help fund other equipment such as whiteboards, floats, woggles, backstroke flags and much more!
The team is supportive, approachable, and truly committed to helping local charities and community groups. Their work makes a real difference in the area and we are so grateful for all their support!

Stagestruck Theatre Group have been the grateful recipients of a £250 grant from 3R Charity. This grant went towards the costume costs for our 2025 production of 5 Children and It. Fundraising is absolutely critical for Stagestruck’s survival and impact to our community. Without effective fundraising non-profit organisations, like us, may struggle to grow, adapt or even survive. Brilliant fundraising and funding model for local groups. Very grateful for two donations to Kendal RUFC, the first for equipment for the mini and youth section and the second for a mobile defibrillator to take to senior rugby games. Recently 3R's awarded Holme Parish Hall a grant to buy equipment to allow us to set up Pickleball in the hall. This will introduce a new sport to our community that is accessible to all ages and abilities. The team at 3R are friendly and interested and a delight to work with.

A really fabulous charity focused on supporting grass root community organisations. The application process is simple, making it more achievable for small groups like ours to access much needed funds!
Great local charity shop using all the funds they raise to support local community groups to be able to buy much needed equipment. It can be difficult to raise funds when groups are small and run by volunteers who may have limited time or experience with fundraising, but the 3R charity are making this happen for so many worthwhile groups and charities in the area. They have been a huge support to our wheelchair basketball club and we cannot thank them enough. Keep up the fantastic work, it is massively appreciated! 😁
The grant process was very easy and the communication with the staff was great. We love our marquee and so do the children that use it, without the grant this would not have been possible.
Trevor (cat!) was delighted to accept a cheque for £250 from Sue at the wonderful Carnforth based charity 3R which reuses, rehomes and recycles items to raise funds for small local charities, groups and clubs. You can visit their shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco's). We have used the funds to purchase vet bedding for the cattery. ***THANK YOU to Sue and Paul from 3R*** Now we can wash the bedding and reuse it, an improvement on the carpet offcuts we had before! Much cosier for the cats and better for the environment!
3R are the most wonderful charity ever, they have funded 2 Items for cafe irresistible at Father's House Elim Church, which have massively enabled us to produce meals for the community. Give their shop a visit it's a veritable Alladin's cave of quality 2nd hand items. Long may they continue.
This charity is doing incredible things in our district!!! What a brilliant idea - local people supporting local projects. You can really feel how the money the shop makes is supporting local causes. Thank you 3R for all you're doing. Keep up the incredible work!
3R is such a fantastic idea! This is no ordinary charity shop but one that serves the community and all sorts of clubs, societies and their projects. 3R accept donations of unwanted household items, furniture, clothing, books, kids toys and electricals. The standard of stock is very high, it's more like a tiny department store than a shop. We run a community garden and in autumn 2023 we received a grant to buy some garden tools for our volunteers to get started in Spring. Many thanks 3R :)
I have been going to 3R ever since it opened. Being customers of the staff's previous shop on Caton Road my family were mortified when it had to close. The service, goods and pleasure of walking through the door to find many delights is unequalled. I love the idea I am supporting local people and as far as I am concerned it is win win. I used to buy a lot of things on eBay but with postage costs nothing is as cheap as 3R. The bonus is of course by recycling we are protecting our future generations. The prices, certainly compared to new items, are very reasonably priced.
A great place to buy items and donate and repurpose your own unwanted goods. The friendly staff work incredibly hard and support some very important and worthwhile community initiatives. Please support when you can. A big ‘thank you’ to 3R for supporting Carnforth Fringe.
How lovely that doing something to make the world a better place can also help someone achieve their dreams.

This is truly a fantastic Independent Charity Shop. The is an interesting & excellent range of second hand items for sale. The Staff who work here are Friendly, Polite and Helpful. I certainly recommend that you visit this Charity Shop on the outskirts of Carnforth and you won't be disappointed.

The Friends of Miss Whalley's Field recently received a grant from 3R to help renovate a kids den. Without this grant the den would have had to be taken down and removed.
Applying for the grant and working with 3R staff was simple.

A really great Charity making numerous grants to support local good causes. The funding model (funds raised through the shop being distributed locally) is really effective and the grant application process is simple with a quick turn around. Cannot thank and praise all concerned enough.

Bendrigg Report to 3R Foundation - Headtorch grant!
Dear Committee Members,
Thank you once again for your generous grant of £1,000 towards the cost of our new headtorches and helmet mounts here at the Bendrigg Trust! They have been in action for a few months now and they are just fantastic. It has made it much easier for our visitors to wear headtorches and has given wheelchair users the opportunity to have their own headtorch, attached to their wheelchair, when wearing one on a
helmet would be difficult or uncomfortable.
The headtorches will be used for caving sessions and night walks and are essential for our low-light activities. You can see in the photo below a group getting ready for their caving adventure. Caving is a great activity for building independence, confidence and resilience in our visitors, as they experience a new environment, explore and find their way through either our indoor cave at Bendrigg or in the caves we visit in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Below is some feedback from a teacher, which shows the difference our activities make and the impact of your generosity – we wouldn’t be able to take groups caving without the headtorches!
“Most memorable was probably the caving experience as I was impressed at the extent that all young people could be included in something that was clearly out of the comfort zone of many. Tutors knew just how to push them on without scaring them. They all showed improved confidence and trust. ”
Thanks to the 3R Foundation, we can continue providing life-changing outdoor experiences and empower our disabled visitors to enjoy adventure safely and confidently.
