Grant Application
The 3R Foundation raises funds through the 3R Foundation Community Charity Shop and returns those profits to support local charities, community groups, clubs and other non profit organisations across North Lancashire and South Cumbria, with a particular focus on the Carnforth, Lancaster and Morecambe area.
If you would like to apply for a grant, we recommend reading our Pre Application FAQs first, then simply complete our online application form.
Most of our grants are between £250 and £500. We usually only award one or two £1,000 grants each month, so applying for a smaller amount, where appropriate, may improve your chances of success.
Quick Tip 2: The Grants Committee particularly welcomes applications that:
- involve recycling or help the environment
- encourage collaboration or shared community resources
- support local businesses by purchasing locally where possible
- are for specific, tangible items supported by a quotation or screenshot
Quick Tip 3: We do not normally provide part funding towards larger projects. We prefer to fully fund specific items or smaller projects, allowing us to support more organisations with quicker decisions and less administration. There are many other funders better suited to larger capital projects. If you think your project is an exceptional case, please contact us before applying.
The 3R Grants Committee meets every month, so you will normally receive a decision within 2 to 6 weeks. If your application is successful, your grant will usually be paid by bank transfer within a few days of accepting the offer.
Successful grants are featured on our website and social media. As part of the grant conditions, we ask recipients to help publicise their award and share our posts to help raise awareness of both their organisation and the work of the 3R Foundation.
