grant awarded - Silverdale District Woodbank

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £500 to Silverdale District Woodbank for PPE, caps, ear defenders and work clothing.
The Silverdale District Woodbank is a volunteer community group that carries out woodland management work to benefit local wildlife habitats.

They work with a number of local conservation organisations including:

• Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
• Woodland Trust
• Butterfly Conservation
• National Trust
• RSPB

In return for their help and labour, members earn a share of logs and coppice poles for their own use. They work co-operatively enabling people of all abilities to join in.
The grant provided the volunteers with vital PPE, work clothing and safety equipment.
