GRANT AWARDED - Heysham Village Jubilee Institute

The 3R Foundation has awarded £500 to Heysham Jubilee Institute which they have used to purchase a laptop computer and carry case. The village institute provides non sectarian spaces for use by the community; Hosting various types of classes, across all age groups such as exercise classes, yoga, village meetings, parties etc.

It is also the home of the “uniform hub” supplying a drop in centre for all the schools in the area, giving free school uniforms, shoes, coats and bags donated to anyone in need. The Institute is also the only provider of toilet facilities for public use in Heysham since the toilet block in the village was closed. 

The new computer will be used to produce and keep accounts, meeting minutes, and to design fliers and posters for upcoming events, classes and presentations as well as to complete further fund raising applications in order to renovate the building making it more accessible and fit for purpose in the future.
