Unique Kidz & Co

Unique Kidz & Co

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £830 to Unique Kidz & Co to fund the purchase of three new picnic benches, including a wheelchair accessible table with an inclusive design, a full size one and a smaller childrens size bench.

Founded in 2009 by two mums of disabled children who struggled to find suitable childcare, Unique Kidz and Co has grown into a vital local charity supporting children and young adults aged 0–30 with disabilities. The organisation provides a wide range of services including afterschool clubs, holiday clubs, weekend clubs, daytime support for young adults, stay-and-play sessions for under 5s, a siblings group, and even a toy library. At its heart, it is a place where young people can play, have fun, make friends, and truly be themselves.

The new picnic benches will provide more opportunities for the young people to enjoy time outdoors together, whether for meals, healthy eating activities, food preparation sessions, or simply spending time with friends in the sunshine. With the addition of parasols, the benches will also allow activities to take place outside during good weather, offering shade and comfort.

This investment will make a real difference to the day-to-day experiences of the children and young adults who attend Unique Kidz and Co, creating more inclusive, social, and enjoyable outdoor spaces.

If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or a vital piece of equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
