Trimpell Bowling Club

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to Trimpell Bowling Club, Morecambe for watering and irrigation equipment.

Trimpell Bowling Club is one of only three remaining crown green bowling clubs in Morecambe. Run entirely by volunteers and funded through membership fees and fundraising, the club provides a welcoming place for people of all ages to enjoy the sport, stay active and socialise.

As well as offering casual bowling, the club supports players taking part in local leagues, helping to keep the traditional game of crown green bowls thriving within the community.

The grant funded two 50 metre hosepipes and an irrigation tractor, essential equipment for maintaining the bowling green in excellent condition throughout the playing season.

Keeping the green properly watered is vital to the quality of play and helps protect the surface during warmer weather. The new equipment has made routine maintenance more efficient, ensuring members and visiting teams can continue to enjoy a well-maintained green for many years to come.

The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco).
