The Rainbow Hub Lancaster

The 3R Foundation recently awarded a grant of £480 to The Rainbow Hub Lancaster to help transform their outdoor space into a therapeutic play area.
The Rainbow Hub offers a wide spectrum of support to families across Lancaster and the surrounding area, creating a welcoming and friendly community for those in need. Their services include play therapy, creative arts therapy, filial therapy and well-being workshops for both parents and children, helping to improve mental, emotional and physical well-being.

The grant was used to purchase a range of outdoor play therapy equipment including a wooden sand tray, mud kitchen, climbing ramp and other resources, alongside an indoor air bag to support children with regulating stronger emotions. These tools will allow The Rainbow Hub to expand their therapy sessions into the garden, making use of the proven benefits of outdoor play, creativity and movement.
This new development will enable one-to-one and group sessions to take place in a calm and therapeutic outdoor setting, helping children to build confidence, express themselves and benefit from the healing power of play.
If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or a vital piece of equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
