The Hygiene Bank Lancaster and the Bay

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to The Hygiene Bank Lancaster and the Bay for a portable powerpack.
The Hygiene Bank provides hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner, nappies, sanitary products, washing-up liquid, washing powder, and toothpaste to local people in the Lancaster and Bay area experiencing hygiene poverty.
upport is also offered to various schools within the Lancaster, Morecambe, and Carnforth areas, as well as to community centres, food banks, clubs, refugee groups, homeless centres, and other local organisations.
As part of their continued efforts to support individuals and families experiencing hygiene poverty, the team recently moved into a new storage unit to accommodate growing demand and improve their ability to store and distribute essential hygiene products. Unfortunately, the new unit did not have access to electricity, which significantly impacted their ability to carry out day-to-day activities. Without power, they had no lights and were unable to operate basic equipment such as charging devices or running small appliances essential to their work.
To help overcome this challenge and resume operations as quickly as possible, they sought funding to purchase a high-capacity portable powerpack—similar to those used on campsites and construction sites. This would allow them to plug in lights and vital equipment and be a practical and immediate step towards restoring functionality and ensuring that support to schools, food banks, and vulnerable groups in Lancaster, Morecambe and Carnforth.
If the 3R foundation could help with funds for a vital piece of equipment, then clubs and groups can apply for a grant using our simple form here:
