Stagestruck Theatre Group
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £229 to Stagestruck Theatre Group for storage boxes, smoke machines and reading lights.
Stagestruck Theatre Group has been giving children and young people aged 6 to 18 the opportunity to perform on stage for more than 25 years. The group provides an inclusive, welcoming environment where every child has a part to play, regardless of experience or ability, helping them build confidence, friendships and valuable life skills through singing, acting and dance.
Rehearsing each year from September to March, the group works closely with local venues including Bolton le Sands Community Centre, Slyne with Hest Village Hall and Carnforth High School, where their annual productions take place.
The grant funded storage boxes to organise and protect costumes and props for future productions, smoke machines to enhance stage performances, and reading lights to help backstage volunteers safely read scripts and cue sheets during performances.
These improvements have helped make productions run more smoothly while allowing equipment and costumes to be reused for years to come, supporting the group's aim of providing affordable, high-quality theatre experiences for local young people.
The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco).
Every purchase in the shop helps fund grants for local charities, clubs and community groups across North Lancashire and South Cumbria. Please support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations in our area.
