SELFA Children's Charity

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £464 to SELFA Children's Charity for hammocks, forest schools equipment & hoodies.
SELFA is a charity supporting children and young people aged 4–25 who may be experiencing vulnerabilities, disadvantage, and/or disability. The organisation’s vision is that every child and young person feels celebrated and knows they belong.
Through weekly groups, holiday workshops, residential trips, and outings, SELFA encourages independence, supports positive relationships, builds self‑esteem, fosters a sense of belonging, promotes resilience, nurtures aspirations, and enhances overall wellbeing.

The 3R Foundation was pleased to support SELFA with a grant to fund equipment for their forest school programme in Bentham. The funding was used to purchase items such as hammocks and slacklines, allowing children and young people to take part in a wider range of activities within a forest school setting. The grant also provided SELFA hoodies for participants, helping to create a sense of belonging and group identity during the sessions.
If you know of a local charity, club or community groups looking for funding for a vital piece of equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
