 Queer By Gum CIC

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £486 to Queer By Gum CIC for craft supplies, marketing and decorative materials.

Queer By Gum CIC is a grassroots arts organisation working across Lancaster and Morecambe. The organisation organises and facilitates workshops, creative projects, and safer spaces where the local LGBTQ+ community can create, connect, and organise. This includes regular sessions such as Craft Clubs, Book Clubs, and Football Clubs, as well as one-off events designed to bring people together.

Queer By Gum CIC applied for funding to support ‘Queer Pride at The Gregson’, a community-led, family-friendly LGBTQ+ event held on Sunday 22nd June 2025 at The Gregson Arts and Community Centre in Lancaster. The one-day celebration featured creative workshops, performances, and community activities, offering inclusive and accessible Pride experiences for local people of all ages, including quieter spaces for those who needed them.

Funding was requested to help cover key materials needed to bring the event to life, including craft supplies, marketing materials printed by Morecambe Community Riso Press, and decorations to transform the venue into a welcoming, Pride-themed space. These resources also supported strong visual documentation to promote the work of Queer By Gum and the valuable support of the 3R Foundation.

If you know of a local charity, club or community groups looking for funding for a project or a vital piece of equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.

We offer small grants to support projects across Lancaster, Morecambe, North Lancs and South Lakes, and applying is quick and easy here:
