Morecambe Bay Community Primary School

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £160 to Morecambe Bay Community Primary School for an exterior notice board.

Morecambe Bay Community Primary School serves children and families from the local community, including a high number of children with additional educational needs. The school also has a purpose built specialist SEN unit, providing dedicated support and facilities for pupils who need them.

The school has recently welcomed a new PTFA, with an enthusiastic team of parents and volunteers committed to supporting pupils, families and the wider school community.

The grant funded a new exterior notice board to provide an accessible and highly visible way of sharing important information with parents and carers.

While much school communication now takes place digitally, not every family uses social media or regularly accesses information online. The new notice board helps ensure important messages, activities and opportunities can reach as many families as possible.

It is a relatively simple addition, but one that will help improve communication between the school and its families while supporting the new PTFA as it develops more activities and opportunities for the school community.

The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco).

Every purchase in the shop helps fund grants for local charities, clubs and community groups across North Lancashire and South Cumbria. Please support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations in our area.
