Millhead FC youth teams

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to Millhead FC youth teams for 2x goalposts and 20x footballs.

Millhead Football Club is a locally-run grassroots football club based at Millhead near Carnforth, dedicated to providing fair and inclusive opportunities for children to participate in football. The club currently operates six youth teams across various age groups and is committed to keeping the sport accessible to all by maintaining low subscription fees for players and families.

To support their ongoing development, Millhead FC recently approached the 3R Foundation with a request for funding to purchase essential equipment for both of their Under-11 teams for the upcoming season. Specifically, they were seeking grant support to acquire two sets of football goalposts and two sets of size 4 training balls (10 balls per set, each with a carry bag).

Importantly, once this new equipment is in place, the existing gear currently used by the U11 teams will be passed down to younger age groups within the club. Historically, all equipment has been funded through the efforts and contributions of parents and individual team members, so this grant would ease that burden while helping the club continue its valuable work in supporting local youth sport.

If the 3R foundation could help with funds for a vital piece of equipment, then clubs and groups can apply for a grant using our simple form here:
