Lancaster City Brass

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £376 to Lancaster City Brass for new music scores.
The Lancaster City Brass Band is a friendly and enthusiastic group dedicated to bringing live music and entertainment to Lancaster and the surrounding areas. The band’s mission goes beyond performance - it also aims to support and encourage people of all ages in learning and enjoying brass music.

Whether someone is an experienced musician or a complete beginner, the band offers a welcoming environment where everyone can develop their skills and enjoy the experience of making music together.
Weekly rehearsals are held to prepare for a wide range of performances throughout the year. These include concerts, local community events, and civic occasions such as galas, fetes, and Remembrance Sunday services.
The band had reached a point where refreshing their music catalog had become a real necessity. Fortunately, they were delighted to secure a grant from an alternative source to cover the cost of electronic copies of music - a wonderful boost that was very much appreciated and will go a long way. However, using digital scores wasn’t a practical option for the band without making a significant investment in new technology. For a number of reasons, that wasn’t a direction they were ready to take.
As a result, they found themselves needing to raise additional funds to purchase hard copies of the music - something much better suited to their current setup and the way they rehearse and perform. We were happy to help!
If the 3R foundation could help with funds for a vital piece of equipment, then clubs and groups can apply for a grant using our simple form here:
