Lancashire Youth Challenge

Lancashire Youth Challenge

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £457 to Lancashire Youth Challenge for 20 branded hoodies for their team staff.

Lancashire Youth Challenge supports vulnerable young people aged 11–21 across North Lancashire, providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where they feel valued and supported. The organisation delivers a year-round programme combining physical fitness, outdoor education, creative arts and adventure-based activities, all designed to build confidence, resilience and wellbeing.

Through these experiences, young people develop life skills, discover their strengths and gain a stronger sense of purpose and possibility. The charity’s work has expanded significantly over the past year, with workshops now being delivered across multiple locations in both schools and community settings.

To support this growth, the team has increased to around 10 staff, volunteers and freelance facilitators, all working together to deliver programmes and support young people. As the organisation’s presence in the community has grown, it became important for staff to be easily identifiable and to present a consistent, professional image during sessions and events.

The grant funded 20 branded hoodies, which were designed and printed by a local Lancaster-based business. The hoodies help ensure team members are clearly recognisable when working with young people and strengthen the charity’s visibility within the community.

The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco). With a large number of grant applications coming in recently, continued support from the local community is more important than ever.

Every purchase in the shop helps raise the funds that go straight back out as grants to support local charities, clubs and community groups. If you are nearby, please call in and support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations across our area.
