Kendal Youth Darts Academy

Kendal Youth Darts Academy

A £250 grant from the 3R Foundation has been awarded to Kendal Youth Darts Academy to help equip their venue with essential darts equipment.

The Academy is a new initiative based in Kendal, created to engage children and young people aged 8 to 18 in the sport of darts. Their mission is to provide a safe and supportive platform where youngsters can learn and enjoy the game, while also developing important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and strategic thinking.

The Academy plans to welcome around 50 participants and will make use of 10 dartboards for training and practice sessions. With a strong commitment to inclusivity, they aim to create a nurturing environment that encourages young people of all abilities to get involved in the sport.

This funding will allow the Kendal Youth Dart Academy to establish itself as a not-for-profit organisation within the community and provide opportunities for local children to learn, grow, and enjoy a new sporting activity.

If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or a vital piece of equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
