Kellet Rangers U'8s FC

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £300 to Kellet Rangers FC for footballs, slalom poles and a target net with ball bag.

Kellet Rangers FC is a newly established Under 8s football team based in the village of Nether Kellet. The team was formed in September 2025 when a group of boys from the same local school wanted the opportunity to play together as a team. Since then, the club has provided a fun, supportive and enjoyable environment where young players can develop their skills, confidence and teamwork.

Home matches and summer training take place at Nether Kellet field, which is rented from Halton Football Club, while winter training sessions are held at the Mazuma Stadium on the Astro turf. As equipment used on grass pitches cannot be used on Astro turf surfaces, the club required specific training equipment suitable for indoor and artificial surfaces.

The grant enabled the purchase of footballs, slalom poles and a target net with ball bag, ensuring the team has the correct equipment to train effectively and safely throughout the year. The club currently supports seven boys and actively encourages girls to join, aiming to grow participation in grassroots football within the local community.

If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
