Good Things Collective CIC

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £496 to Good Things Collective CIC for arts and craft materials for their 2026 programme.

Good Things Collective is a grassroots arts organisation based in Morecambe, helping people bring their ideas to life by providing skills, materials and space to create. Their projects bring people together to try new things, learn new skills and be part of a supportive creative community.

They have previously delivered popular initiatives such as Make My Day, a free festival of creative activities, and the People’s Bandstand, showcasing local musicians, performers and workshops.

The grant supported their new “Studio Kids” programme, a monthly creative club where children attend with parents, carers or grandparents to take part in shared artistic experiences. The sessions aim to build confidence, encourage creativity and bring people together through intergenerational making.

Funding provided a wide range of art materials, supporting eight sessions throughout 2026. Activities include sculpture, fashion design, kite making, sensory play and large-scale collaborative artwork, all led by local artists.

By removing cost barriers and providing access to materials, the programme helps ensure more families can take part in creative opportunities, particularly those who may otherwise struggle to access them.

The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco). With a large number of grant applications coming in recently, continued support from the local community is more important than ever.

Every purchase in the shop helps raise the funds that go straight back out as grants to support local charities, clubs and community groups. If you are nearby, please call in and support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations across our area.
