Father's House Church Lancaster
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £864 to Father's House Church Lancaster for a commercial stainless steel fridge.
Fathers House Elim Church runs a community café that supports people facing hardship, including those affected by the rising cost of living, unemployment and housing difficulties. The café provides a welcoming space where individuals can access affordable meals and connect with others in the community.
The church recently refurbished its kitchen to improve the facilities used to prepare and serve food. However, the existing fridge needed replacing to ensure the kitchen could operate safely and efficiently.
The grant funded a new commercial fridge, helping the café store food safely and continue providing meals to those who rely on the service. This upgrade has supported the smooth running of the kitchen and strengthened the café’s ability to serve the local community.
The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco). With a large number of grant applications coming in recently, continued support from the local community is more important than ever.
Every purchase in the shop helps raise the funds that go straight back out as grants to support local charities, clubs and community groups. If you are nearby, please call in and support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations across our area.
