Connect Play Learn CIC

Connect Play Learn CIC

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to Connect Play Learn CIC for card, paper, paint, glue, pens, scissors and brushes.

Connect Play Learn C.I.C provides arts-based therapeutic sessions for families and individuals with special educational needs, disabilities, neurodivergence and additional needs in and around Morecambe. Their sessions offer a welcoming, non-judgemental space where families can play, connect and be creative together, supported by a team of qualified and experienced facilitators. Alongside creative play, the sessions also offer valuable peer support for adults, helping to reduce isolation and build confidence.

The organisation makes extensive use of art materials during its sessions, and the art cupboard had become almost empty due to high demand. The grant supported the restocking of essential creative resources, ensuring that participants can continue to access meaningful, hands-on activities that support wellbeing, communication and connection.

Wherever possible, Connect Play Learn C.I.C prioritises the use of recycled materials or items diverted from landfill. Much of the card and paper is sourced through Ragtag Community Scrapstore, aligning closely with the 3R Foundation’s ethos of Recycle, Reuse and Rehome, while also keeping costs low and reducing waste.

If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
