Christ Church, Lancaster

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £966 to Christ Church, Lancaster for an externally accessible AED (defibrillator) and heated cabinet.

Christ Church, Lancaster is a Church of England church with a busy community hall that is used by a wide range of local groups, organisations and schools throughout the week. As a well-used and central community space, the church plays an important role in supporting local residents and visitors of all ages.

The grant was used to purchase and install an external defibrillator housed in a heated, secure cabinet, ensuring it is available 24 hours a day to both building users and the wider public. Having an AED accessible from outside the building means it can be used in an emergency even when the church or hall is closed.

Quick access to a defibrillator can be lifesaving in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, particularly in busy community locations. This new installation significantly improves public safety in the area and provides reassurance to those attending activities, events and services at Christ Church, as well as to the surrounding community.

If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
