Caton Saturday Football and Netball Club

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to Caton Saturday Football and Netball Club to support the purchase of new footballs and netballs.

Caton Saturday Football and Netball Club provides regular, welcoming sports sessions for children and young people in the local community. The club helps participants stay active, build confidence and develop teamwork and social skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Sessions are accessible and inclusive, offering an important opportunity for young people to enjoy sport close to home.

The club is supported by Quernmore Chapel, whose encouragement and backing help ensure activities can continue to benefit local families. Over time, the club’s existing sports equipment had become worn through regular use and was no longer suitable, making replacement essential to maintain safe and enjoyable sessions.

The 3R Foundation grant enabled the club to replace essential balls, ensuring sessions can continue without interruption and that players have reliable, good-quality equipment to support training and matches. This funding will help sustain the club’s activities and ensure young people can continue to enjoy the physical, mental and social benefits of sport.

If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
