Castle Street Baby and Toddler Group
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £300 to Castle Street Baby and Toddler Group in Kendal for four new soft play mats.
Castle Street Baby and Toddler Group is a non profit community group running twice weekly drop in sessions at Castle Street Community Centre. The group provides a safe, inclusive and friendly environment where babies, toddlers, parents and carers can meet, play and spend time together.
Sessions include crafts, soft play, ride on toys, books and role play, along with a healthy snack for the children. Each session finishes with everyone coming together for musical instruments, singing and plenty of fun.
The grant funded four new soft play mats, replacing the group's old mats which had become worn, torn and damaged after many years of use.
The mats are an important part of every session, providing a comfortable and safe area for babies as well as supporting soft play activities. They also create the space where children and their grown ups gather together for music and singing at the end of each session.
The new mats have made the play areas safer, brighter and more welcoming, providing equipment that will be enjoyed by local families for many sessions to come.
The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco).
Every purchase in the shop helps fund grants for local charities, clubs and community groups across North Lancashire and South Cumbria. Please support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations in our area.
