Carnforth Community Arts and Crafts
The 3R Foundation has awarded £440 to Carnforth Community Arts and Crafts for new signage at Carnforth Station’s Junction Gallery.
Carnforth Community Arts and Crafts Ltd (CCAC) is a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society dedicated to promoting the arts locally, supporting makers, and encouraging wider participation through workshops and creative events. Their flagship project, The Junction Gallery, is located on Carnforth Station in Unit 1, offering a welcoming space where local artisans can display and sell their work. The gallery is open five days a week and is staffed entirely by CCAC volunteers who give their time to sustain this valued community venture.
Because the gallery is set away from Carnforth’s main shopping routes, visibility has been an ongoing challenge. The grant has funded new exterior signage — including a large 4m x 24" sign and a new door sign — to help attract more visitors across the station car park, increasing awareness among both local residents and tourists. Improved visibility is expected not only to benefit CCAC and its member artisans but also to support other station businesses and strengthen the local economy.
If you know of a local charity, club or community group looking for funding for a project or equipment, the 3R Foundation may be able to help.
