Calm Together - Support for emotional regulation. C.I.C.

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £350 to Calm Together - Support for emotional regulation. C.I.C. in Morecambe for hoodies, workbooks, paper, printing and teaching resources.

Calm Together supports local families by helping children manage emotional regulation and behaviour, particularly where support may not yet be in place through schools or formal assessments. Many families face long waiting times for services, and the organisation works to bridge that gap with early, practical support.

They offer initial consultations with parents and caregivers, followed by tailored support which may include creating bespoke resources for use at home, working directly with children in school or at home, and providing advice sessions for parents. They also help families navigate forms and processes such as Right to Choose, which can often feel overwhelming.

The service has already seen strong demand, with referrals coming from local schools as well as services such as CAMHS and CANW. Their work focuses on providing real-life, personalised guidance that is adapted to each child and family.

The grant supported the purchase of essential materials including workbooks, journals, teaching aids, art and play therapy resources, as well as printed materials and branded hoodies to support delivery and outreach. These resources help Calm Together continue offering practical, accessible support to families across the local community.

The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco). With a large number of grant applications coming in recently, continued support from the local community is more important than ever.

Every purchase in the shop helps raise the funds that go straight back out as grants to support local charities, clubs and community groups. If you are nearby, please call in and support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations across our area.
