Bold CIC

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £110 to Bold CIC for a meeting point teardrop flag and first aid kit to support its free nature and wellbeing walks in Morecambe and Silverdale. In addition, the 3R Foundation donated a waterproof jacket, marine binoculars and a rucksack from charity shop stock to equip the walk leader.

Bold CIC organises a range of free community activities designed to improve physical and mental wellbeing, including guided nature and wellbeing walks, inclusive 5K runs and community challenges. By keeping barriers to participation as low as possible, the organisation encourages people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors, meet new people and improve their wellbeing.

The guided walks explore the unique natural environment of Morecambe Bay, helping participants discover local wildlife and landscapes while enjoying the physical and mental health benefits of spending time in nature.

The grant funded a portable teardrop flag to act as a clear meeting point for participants attending guided walks, making it easier for newcomers to find the group and helping events run more smoothly.

The additional donated equipment provides the walk leader with practical resources for leading walks safely and comfortably in a variety of conditions, supporting the group's growing programme of outdoor activities around the Bay.

Together, the grant and donated equipment will help Bold CIC continue offering welcoming, accessible experiences that encourage more people to connect with nature, improve their wellbeing and become part of a supportive local community.

The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco).
