Bleasdale School
The 3R Foundation recently awarded £250 to Bleasdale School at SIlverdale for a sensory tickle tunnel, sports equipment and a goal post.
Bleasdale School supports children with profound and multiple learning difficulties, helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for life beyond school. Alongside this, the school is committed to providing enriching opportunities that many pupils may not otherwise experience.
The grant funded a range of equipment to support both sensory development and physical activity. The sensory tickle tunnel provides engaging, stimulating experiences for pupils, while the additional sports equipment and goal post help encourage active play and skill development.
These resources are being used to support after-school activities where pupils can practise a variety of athletic skills, as well as during lunchtime play. The equipment will also help pupils take part in the school’s first School Games Mark competition in the summer term.
By enhancing both play and structured activities, the funding is helping create more inclusive opportunities for pupils to stay active, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.
The 3R Foundation funds grants like this through the Recycle, Reuse, Rehome charity shop in Carnforth (next to Tesco). With a large number of grant applications coming in recently, continued support from the local community is more important than ever.
Every purchase in the shop helps raise the funds that go straight back out as grants to support local charities, clubs and community groups. If you are nearby, please call in and support the shop so we can continue helping even more organisations across our area.
