Beyond Radio Community Radio Station

The 3R Foundation recently awarded £399 to Beyond Radio Community Radio Station to purchase a laptop for outside broadcasts.

Beyond Radio is a community radio station serving Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding areas, providing local news, music, information and opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in broadcasting. The station plays an important role in giving a voice to the local community, supporting local events, charities and organisations, and offering volunteering and skills development opportunities.

The grant was used to purchase a dedicated laptop to support outside broadcasts, enabling the team to report live from community events, festivals and local activities across the area. Having reliable portable equipment allows Beyond Radio to increase its presence within the community, improve the quality of its broadcasts and ensure more local stories and voices are shared on air.

This equipment helps volunteers work more efficiently while out in the community and supports the station’s ongoing commitment to engaging residents, promoting local initiatives and strengthening community connections through accessible local radio.
